Lifestyle Medicine Solutions: Who We Are: Dysinger

Wayne is an Inland Empire native, having been born and raised in Loma Linda and Yucaipa. He completed medical school at Loma Linda University, followed by a Family Medicine Residency at Florida Hospital, and a Preventive Medicine Residency back at Loma Linda. He has worked in Guam, Atlanta and New Hampshire prior to returning to Loma Linda University as Chair of the Preventive Medicine Department in 2003. Wayne has an international reputation as a leader in the field of Lifestyle Medicine, having served as President of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and as an international consultant in the area. He is also the Medical Director of the Lifestyle Medicine Institute, and a Professor at Loma Linda University. He is passionate about treating what is really causing health problems, not just putting Band-Aids on superficial issues.


Dipika was born and raised in India, but has now lived most of her life in the United States. She completed her medical training at Loma Linda University – including medical school, and a combined residency in Family Medicine & Preventive Medicine. She believes that health is more than just the physical body, and encompasses the relationships we surround ourselves with, as well as our own spiritual, mental, and emotional nurturing.

Dipika is passionate about empowering people and community – to take control of their health through lifestyle changes, and to increase their quality of life. She speaks intermediate Spanish. Her personal interests are varied, and include music, travel, the outdoors, and arts & culture.


Christine is an Inland Empire native who moved away to work in the South Bay. Her love for children led her to work as a Certified Pediatric Registered Nurse for almost 10 years. Although she loved pediatric care, she decided it was time to make a change. She completed her Family Nurse Practitioner training at Cal State University, Long Beach and is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Christine is passionate about partnering with her patients on their journey through health care and addressing the WHOLE patient.




Through his family’s fight with diabetes, Arwin grew a passion to empower people with the health foundation to live life to the fullest. Arwin believes that everyone has the opportunity to prevent and reverse diseases through the right tools and support around them. Arwin built his business career as a management consultant at Bain & Company and investment manager for Crescent Capital, Australia’s most active private equity investor in healthcare.



Lindsay is passionate about living an abundant life and helping others to do the same. She finds food to be a rich blessing, not only for the physical body but for the heart and soul as well. Lindsay loves to connect with patients and help them find an approach to healthy eating that they can be excited about. Lindsay grew up in Texas and attended Southwestern Adventist University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in wellness. Shortly after, she moved to Southern California to study nutrition at Loma Linda University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree as well as a master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics. Lindsay enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, hiking, swing dancing, crafting, cooking, and hosting dinner parties.

Jaime Stiansen is a Certified Health and Lifestyle Coach and she also has a BS in Psychology and Therapeutic Recreation. She is passionate about building and encouraging others to build healthy relationships, communities, families, and lifestyle habits. She is married, has 3 kids and loves all things outdoors, active and people. Jaime’s passion for helping people achieve their own health goals began with her own struggle. She was faced with a decision to keep doing things the way she had always done them, or start making changes and fight for the health of her family.



Nan moved to Riverside in 1985 from the San Fernando Valley where she majored in nutrition at California State University at Northridge. For more then three decades she has served others…for 18 years as the owner of a thriving sales and success business, and then as a landscape designer, creating more then 200 gardens. Throughout this time Nan never lost sight of the value of maintaining health and vitality through a good nutrition, daily exercise, living mindfully, engaging in the community, and giving to others. Now, as a certified health coach who enjoys a whole-foods plant based diet, her passion is to empower others to maintain and regain vibrant health and wellness. She enthusiastically embraces Hippocrates dictum, “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food.”  With a love of all things food related, she recreationally spends time in the kitchen creating delicious and health enriching dishes for herself and her husband, and is eager to share her recipes and ideas.




Anna works full-time as a faculty member at Loma Linda University and her clinical work is centred in primary care and lifestyle medicine. She graduated as an Occupational Therapist and a Doctor in Philosophy from the University of Queensland, Australia. She enjoys travelling and as a result has provided occupational therapy services in the USA, Australia, and Haiti. She believes that structuring daily routines and occupations in a way that promotes health is key in lifestyle medicine.

Mariza, is a native of Riverside, California. She has been a practicing Medical Assistant since obtaining certification in 2002. Her passion for helping people and seeing them live their best lives makes her especially passionate about the work she does at Lifestyle Medicine Solutions. Married with two children she enjoys spending time with her family, walking outdoors, camping and watching movies .

Angela Mountain, is a resident of Riverside, California. She has been working in the medical field for the past 17 years. Her career as Lifestyle Medicine Solutions Office Administrator coincides with her passion for helping others achieve their goals and making her patients feel special. In her time off she enjoys spending time with her family, going on hikes, and seeking new adventures.




Noemi, is a native of San Bernardino, California. She has worked in the medical field for 5 years. At LMS she has finally found her passion; helping and coaching people to live their best life. Believing food should be thy medicine. On her off days you can find Noemi supporting local farmers and attending farmers markets every week to ensure she lives and breathes what we teach here at LMS, that an active lifestyle and plant based diet will keep us living long and healthy lives.

Dr. Ionela Hubbard is currently Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine and Complementary and Alternative Medicine Curriculum Director at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. She teaches Integrative and Functional Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Herbs and Dietary Supplements, Acupuncture and Traditional Oriental Medicine.Her areas of interest within medicine include: chronic complex medical conditions, integrative cancer care, optimal aging, detoxification, gastrointestinal health, systemic inflammation, chronic pain  syndrome, autoimmune disorders, mood and cognitive disorders.



Dr. Tsang is a board certified medical oncologist, hematologist and lifestyle medicine physician. He is a strong advocate of the holistic and patient-centered approach to cancer care. In addition to providing state-of-the-art treatments for cancer and blood diseases, Dr. Tsang advises his patients about nutrition, dietary supplements, physical activities, psychosocial support and complementary healing methods. He currently supervises the Cancer Recovery Program and provides Integrative Oncology Consultation at Lifestyle Medicine Solutions.

Besides his busy clinical practice, Dr. Tsang continues to pursue his interest in the history of medicine. He collaborates with a team of scholars to analyze and translate ancient Chinese medical texts. In this research, he has discovered age-old concepts that are useful for solving modern healthcare problems.

Dr. Tsang is the founding Co-Chair of the Lifestyle Medicine for Cancer Working Group at the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. He is also an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Society for Integrative Oncology.
